Sharing info and resources

Hi to all!! As it seems, our forum family at F&F is continually growing... I wanted to start a thread to share info that is status quo for all of us watching and feeling the effects of someone we love . For starters...I went back and copied a post I wrote in Feb. 08 which has the website address to pull up a chart on the "effects of gambling on a spouse".  When things were really bad and I questioned  what was happening to me, this helped me understand alot but most of all, it validated what I was feeling and I realized I really wasnt crazy!!!!!

Copied from Feb. 2008

Anyone who comes to this forum is suffering one way or another from gambling. When my situation got into crisis mode...I felt guilty and believed my cg that I was the cause of a lot of "our" problems. The wonderful people on this forum quickly helped me realize that these were common feelings amongst families effected by CG, most of all they validated my feelings and I didnt feel like it was me who was "crazy" as my cg calls me as I really was beginning to question my sanity. I have learned so much and would like to share things as I go along of info that is out there for families. Its all things I've already been told by the wise people on this forum, just presented differently.

I hope this helps someone and hope to see what others have found and learned along the way!!!!                                  L.I.L.A.

Go to this link and look at this visual chart...I couldnt have designed it better myself to reflect what has happened (still happening) in my life

Re: Sharing info and resources

Hi LILA,

Thanks for sharing that with us.  I have found a chinese proverb which echoes what you are saying it is as follows:-

When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it.

You have a moral obligation to share it with others.
