About Us

Gambling Therapy was launched by the Gordon House Association  (now The Gordon Moody Association) on November 5th 2004. The forum and support groups followed in June 2005. Such has been the success of Gambling Therapy that we currently help several thousand members.

Our services include online advice and support for individuals, online support groups, a forum, and a database of useful resources. For more information on any of these services please see below. All of these services are available to anyone with a gambling problem and those affected by someone's gambling.

The Helpline

The helpline is often first contact.

You can connect to the advisor using any name you want; to it does not have to be your real name. Once connected to the advisor you will be able to see him/her on a webcam - it always helps to see a friendly face.

You and the advisor will be able to speak to each other by typing. The advisor will be able to give you various options of help and support that are available to you; we have a large database of resources. The advisor will also be able to give you practical advice to help you. It is all strictly confidential.

The helpline is for anyone who has a problem with gambling or anyone who is affected by someone's gambling.

There are support groups running at various times of the day over a seven day period. When registering on the website you don't have to use your real name if you prefer not to. Once in the group you can have live typed chat with others who are problem gamblers or someone affected by someone's gambling. The group is facilitated by a member of the Gambling Therapy Team.
