About Us
Gambling Therapy was launched by the Gordon House Association on November 5th 2004. The forum and support groups followed in June 2005. Such has been the success of Gambling Therapy that we currently help nearly 4100 members.
Our services include online advice and support for individuals, online support groups, a forum one to one support from a Gambling Therapy Buddy and online counselling. For more information on any of these services please click on Our Services. All of these services are available to anyone with a gambling problem and those affected by someone's gambling.
The Gambling Therapy Team
Ann is responsible for the day-to-day running of Gambling Therapy. Ann has a wide experience of working with problem gamblers. A qualified BACP counsellor, Ann is key to the continued development of Gambling Therapy.
Tim, Mick, Harry, Dave and Phil are online assessors. This team are living examples that the Gordon House model works! Each of them have successfully completed the residential programme at Gordon House. Tim, Mick , Harry and Dave also give one to one support in their role as a Buddy. Mick has his own section on the forum. called Ask Mick. Why not log on to benefit from Mick’s experience?
Charles and Lee are also online assessors who have used Gambling Therapy to help them in their own recovery. Both are regular participants in their local Gamblers Anonymous meetings.Lee is based in the USA and facilitates group therapy sessions to accomadate the different time zones. At Gambling Therapy, we will help you to find the solution to your gambling problem that best suits you.
Joy is our forum moderator. Joy as also experienced the difficulties of problem gambling and used Gambling Therapy to help her in her own recovery. We are delighted that Joy is now strong enough to make her invaluable contribution to the Gambling Therapy service. Joy is based in Australia.
Jody gives one to one support in her role as a Buddy, Jody lives in America.
Storm and Lucy have a section each on the forum Ask Storm and Friends and Family and Ask Lucy About Pheobe (Residential for Women) We are particularly happy that they add their contribution to Gambling Therapy . Storm's partner was a resident in Gordon House and continues with his recovery. Storm is also an online advisor and gives one to one support in her role as a Buddy. Lucy was herself a resident at Gordon House and will answer any questions about her own experince via her section on the forum.
